Since this is my first blog post I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Steve Krichten, and I'm a web developer for BET Interactive.  Some of my professional interests include ASP.NET, Flash, OOP and web design.  On the personal side of things, My wife Jenna and I have 2 children, Sarah, and Zackary.  You will find pictures of them in the photogallery.  In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, and my hobbies such as tennis, photography, and PC gaming.

Ok, so I'm REALLY late to jump on the blog bandwagon.  I've wanted to start a blog for a long time, and I finally found a good excuse to make it a high priority.  Now that ASP.NET 2.0 is here, I needed a project to motivate my learning.  A blog seemed to be a good choice, so here it is.  I didn't build it from scratch though.  I am using CliqueSite NewsBlog as a starting point since its the only half decent, simple blog I could find written with ASP.NET 2.0.  I've made heavy modifications to it, however most have been visual.  As time permits I'll be making lots of changes to the functionality as well.

I plan to use this blog mostly for my attempts to contribute to the web development community... lots of Flash and ASP.NET related content should be expected.  Of course there will be the occasioanl personal bits.
